Well since ive spent the day soaked in tank water i thought id show some pictures.
Went on holiday during a fishless cycle and my co2 ran out and i had no-one to dose ferts or ammonia and i came back to this. My lighting is 2wpg but on reflection i shouldve cut it down to 1wpg while i was away.
I did clean it on the day but no properly. Today i stripped down my tank, cleaned the algae off my plants and gave the glass a good clean with an algae scraper and gave it all a good hoover.
I think i went OTT on the pruning, but oh well.
My HC cuba didn't make it, i couldn't get all the nasty algae off it so i ripped it all up. So im also trying a carpet of willow moss.
I was installing my fire extinguisher co2 today, got it all done, and managed to break my diffuser. So ill leave half my lights off until a replacement gets here.
So ill do that when i get my aqua essentials delivery along with a solenoid, drop checker and a couple of other things.
If i remember, i may keep updating this as my tank progresses, so i can look back on the changes myself and so everyone else can see.
