hi all. have a 45 litre set up. was advised by lfs that if it was going on a unit other than the stand it comes with then it dioes not need polystirene under it.

someone has suggested it may crack is this the case?

I have mine on kitchen units and don't have anything underneath, mine have been fine.

ah thats ok then.

had bad experience with a tank cracking at bottom while back. came home to find water dripping through lights.

took 6 hours of ripping up floorboards at 2am to find out what problem was!
