i plan on breeding kribs and selling them, because a guy at my lfs said there is a shortage of them in my area so i could sell them quite easily, but the problem is then if im breeding and selling there will be few bllodlines, should i still do it?

ok, i had to go to church, so i didnt make this well written...

i think if i breed kribs and sell them to people in my area then if they breed them then they will be inbred, and im pretty sure im not the only one who hates the idea of inbreeding fish.

any thoughts?

People line breed all the time. Inbreeding is commonplace in the hobby. As a matter of fact, breeding for specific traits/morphs involves inbreeding in most cases.

As long as you aren't passing off fish that should be culls due to deformity or other cause, it is considered accepted.

Dude, it's cool. Seriously, if your that worried, just drive 50 miles in any direction, pick up a kribs there, and breed it with one of yours. There will be a bit of variation. Or try aquabid.com and order a wild breeding pair. THey will have fresh bloodlines, doing the hobby some good.

ok, i was just wondering, im glad its ok though. rather safe then sorry as they say...
