Hi all....I am having problems growing a carpet plants. The substrate is gravel,I apply CO2 and feed regularly. The plant in particular is the Hemianthus "callitrichoides Cuba"
When plantae it just slowly fades away. Is this because of my substrate ?.... would it do better in sand.I am also growing veryb succesfully Pogostemon very well. Tank temp is 24/24.

Help will be very much appreciatee.... Frederick

How good is your flow? Are you using liquid carbon or pressurised CO2? What lighting and tank size do you have and what fert are you dosing?

Hi TY for reply....the flow is good..internal jewel filter, external filter with two spray bars, one pointing down to deflect CO2 and the other to spread,Fertiliser is liquidcarbon plus dosing with Mcro (Pot.Nitrate,Pot,Phosphate,Magnesium Sulphate) and Chelated trace elements,5mill. each on alternate days (supp. by Aquarium plant foods) The tank is a Jewel 180ltr 55cm tall 92cm wide. The tank is lit by two Jewel tubes and on for 8hrs per day. CO2 is fed for an extra hour. The bubble rate is impossible to read because it iis a glass bubble counter with a very small dia. inlet tube and the bubble are going thru like a machine gun. The CO2 monitor is showing a medium to light green. The substrate is plain gravel.
