problem with guppy

whenever the females get pregnant, she dies.

theyre in a 10g tank, the females have successfully had fry before, but this month whenever the females starts getting big big belly, she will die. i dont see anything wrong prior to death, just one day here with a big belly, the next, the belly...exploded or something, and the scales are all fanned out like dropsy, but i didnt see any dropsy beforehand. 2 are dead so far.

any suggestions? would be much appreciated.

Bacterial problem, nothing related to pregnancy or anything. Get them on some Tetracycline if you want them to live, once they start to behave funny, or get ANY sign of a sudden big belly.

At least, that's my take on it.
