Problem With Figure 8 Puffer

I have just noticed that my figure of 8 puffer fish has two like whitish 'rashes' on him, there kind of like little rashes, it's really hard to describe, he has one on the side of him and one on top of his head. He also acts strange when I go up to tank, he swims around like a mental patient! Swimming in random directions at very high speeds and even crashes into things - any ideas?

After affects of a possible attack that has now made him very jumpy?

i`ve not delt with puffers before but i know when my mollys or angels have had scuffle they often get white patches on them where they`vescuffed against rocks ect,

they generally heal within a week, keep an eye on him though cos logic dictates, that if theres a gash in the skin that leaves the fish open to infection, so i usualy add a half dose of melafix, to help to stop any ill ness

Are the white patches fuzzy at all? Do they look like little grains of salt? If you decide to take a wait and see approach, if the rash continues to spread or the spots grow, you will need some type of treatment.
