HI,

In my 4ft tank i have 2 decent size peices of bogwood and 2 big barnicals, plant pots and lots of slate in one corner and loads of plant scattered about.

The problem i have got with this is, there is not much room for cleaning the gravel bed, i cant the gravel hoover (cleaner) in properly because of all the stuff, and i cant really move it because it will disturb the bristlenoses as i have 12 of them in there and they have thier own little spots about the tank and i am trying to breed them.

I have a internal filter on the tank noit a undergravel, but there still obviously is going to get a build up of waste in the gravel and this needs to be reduced from time to time...

Any suggestions on what i should do.

Does your gravel Vac have one of those really wide plastic thingies attached to the end of it? If so, then remove that because it just gets in the way when trying to get into those tiny spaces. Then attach (with a rubber band) a plastic fork or other inert pointed object on the end of the tube. When you Vac your gravel, use the pointed end as a probe to swish the gravel around. This will cause the dirty bits to become dislodged where they will get sucked up the Vac.

Will this work for you? :good:
