I set up a new bubble curtain 2 days ago. It curves around a bit, not enough to where it actually bends though. I let it sit about an hour, then turned on the air pump. It still has only 1 teeny-tiny string of bubbles coming out, at about the middle of it.
Anyone know what's wrong with it??
Thanks!

maybe the holes are too small, try making them a little bigger :good:

I've had the same problem except it usually occurs on an old bubble wand after I've turned off the power supply. Weird, since yours appears to be new. I've also had air pumps lose a lot of effeciency over time & sometimes I've had to replace the air pump. Try blowing through through the air line then quickly hooking it back up to the pump. Sometimes that works.

Edit - or, as guppy man said - poke a bunch of small holes in it with a pin - that always works but the bubbles often end up much bigger that the original ones.

is it an airstone type bubble bar or tube type?
if its a bubblestone type then i dont think your pump is powerfull enough, or your tubing is too long, is you make your tubing smaller then the air will travle faster therefore will make more bubbles.

How old is your air pump? It may be that the diagphram is either loose or perished and so not putting out as much as as needed.

Both the pump and wand are new. The wand is about 12" long. I just changed out the pumps, with another identical one that is on another tank. It seems to be working a little bit better for whatever reason. I guess I'll give it another day now to see if it works fully. If not I may have to get a bigger air pump. The one I have is just a small one, Aqua Culture, about $7 from Walmart.
Thanks for the help!
