I don't know what's up with these two, but they have bred four times, and still no babies. They do the dance. The female goes in the cave. I've seen her rub her belly on the roof of the cave, and I'm assuming she's laying eggs. The male goes in, although I haven't seen what he does. She comes out, he's in, she's out, he's in...repeat, again and again. The next morning both are swimming around as if nothing has happened. What gives???

Okay. I honestly dont know about this one. Maybe your female isnt able to lay eggs. I would replace her with a new one and see if you can get them to start breeding. IOM, from your siggy, a 29 g Mbuna tank is a BAD BAD BAD idea.

I am aware that the Mbuna tank is not large enough...I did it in my early days of fishkeeping, and was given bad advice. It is working, though, for now. Maybe it's because most are Yellow Labs, and I have rehomed a couple of very aggressive fish. I had intended to upgrade the tank size, but my collection of tanks has gotten a little "out of control"....
