All of a sudden, my fish appear to be "gasping"--opening and closing their mouths as they swim or hang-out. I don't recall them exhibiting this behavior until recently. Also, tank has taken on a haze or slight water discoloration. It appears as if someone put several drops of milk in the tank. Not bad, but noticible to me.

Can you give more specific data than "low" for your water stats, please? ANY ammonia or nitrites is bad, so "low" doesn't tell us much.

Need stats saying low dosn't mean much, asked you this in the other thread.
Immediate water change till we know your exact results.
Gasping can mean a number of things but the first thing is to rule out bad water quality.

Two things come to mind. Your fish could be suffering from ammonia and/or nitrite poisoning. Second it could be gill flukes.
Although as everyone has stated we/you need precise water readings to more accurately diagnose the problem.
If your ammonia and/or nitrite readings are above 0 the problem could quite possibly be poisoning as stated above.
if it is poisoning and all your fish are effected (showing the same symptoms) add Methylene Blue (safe for fish, bad on bacteria colonies) or if it is effecting just 1 or a couple fish a Methylene Blue bath is preferred. Also if it is gill flukes Praziquantel helps.
With this said I must inform you to not use any treatments on the fish until your sure what the problem is, although the Methylene bath is very safe on fish and you might want to give every fish a bath in the solution.
