Ok, my fx5 arrived today (lovely piece of kit) and im having trouble getting the hoses attached to my tank edge.

ive managed to get the intake tube through a hole so thats ok but the output tube has no where to go so its jus stuck in there at the mo.

trouble is the fat rim the tank has.

I put the bracket they give you to use on so you could see where im having trouble.

anyone got any ideas how i can get round this? the tubes quite stiff which doesnt help.

Hi,

They say you need to get another clamp thingo to hold onto the lip as well hey. You could also make a custom bend with rigid 25mm PVC pipe as you can get different angles and things, and clamp the hose onto it. I think the rubber ends of the fluval hose fits tight on the outside of 20mm pvc. I made a custom spray bar with an adjustable venturi for adding air. I used 20mm PVC and had a 19mm right angle bend to 20mm thread part to conect to the fluval hose, not that thats what you were asking...
