I'm in the process of cycling my third tank, and can't find ammonia. I didn't have this problem with the first two because I cycled with fish (I know the drawbacks, I used 2-3 serpae tetras, didn't lose one...), but this is a 29g brackish tank, so I want to do it fishless because I don't think there are hardy brackish fish appropriate for cycling a tank. My LFS only has Cycle, not ammonia. I tried Petland, Pet Smart, and Wal Mart, and none of them had it. Can I get just pure ammonia from somewhere else? Thanks.

Ah, cool, looks like any ammonia diluted with water will work. Thanks! Oh, and apparently urine will work too? Last resort I guess :)

Walmart definitely should have it unless they were just out of stock. The brand is called Sea Mist. I think they have a second brand too. Pet stores definitely wouldn't have it.

Did you look for it in the pets section of Walmart? If so, that's the problem... it'll be in the household cleaners section :)

I got some. Called Simply Clean Clear Ammonia, from Albertson's. Thanks for the help :)
