Hi all

I have a female Guppy/Endler cross that is gravid. She has seemed gravid since I got her about 3 weeks ago, however her gravid area then, was like a deep red colour but she was bigger in size than one of my guppies that dropped over a week ago. Over the last few days her gravid area has darkened slightly, but only on one side  and as you can see in the very blurry pic below her spine has bent considerably the bigger she has got!! Yesterday I noticed that some of the other females in the tank were having little nips at her and were actively chasing her about. As she is so big it is hard for to swim very quickly and she is mostly static. I have therefore put her in a breeder box (I hate these things) to give her some peace. My main concern is that she is actually having difficulty dropping the fry and was wondering if there was any way I could maybe start things off for her? I know stress can start the process off but I won't be doing that, so any other thoughts or ideas would be welcomed!!

Hhm, I don't know a lot about fish, but maybe you could put a peice of a plant in the breeder box to make her feel more comfortable? or you can try giving her some food, see if she'll eat it, is she squared off? It looks like in the pic she is, but I can't really tell....

She's definately squared off. She has been for a while. IMO she should have dropped by now. I'm going toraise the temp slightly and see if it gets things moving.

Lol, I can't beleive I forgot to say that, lol, yes, raising the tempurature should help her deliver her fry.. Good luck!
