In the next few days im going to be co2 injecting my tank with a pressurized system.
Just so i know for the future, is it ok to dose meds whilst using co2???
I cant see why not but thought ild double check
Hopefully il never need to use them, but you never know! And if by chance i do need to use meds, i wana make sure its safe with the addition of co2?

i think most meds sap oxygen from the water. that's why it's important to add an airstone to a hospital tank. but if you're injecting co2, you have plants too and they produce oxygen. so you might be ok, especially since you have an airstone in your tank.

unless a lot of your fish are sick though, it is recommended to remove and treat only the affected fish in a hospital tank.

Thats true. I thought air stones do very little to oxygenate water and its all about surface agitation?

yeah, i think air stones are more for water circulation than surface agitation, which is provided by the filter current or a powerhead.

The bubbles coming from an airstone do not put much O into the water. However, when those bubbles reach the surface they are great little agitators for breaking the surface tension.
