Hello everyone, one of my pristella tetras gills are pretty enflamed. Also, they are not closed like the gills on the other fish are. Should I get rid of this fish? Is it a hazard to my other fish?

1 cory cat
3 pristella tetras
3 neon tetras

Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, size of tank in gallons or litres, how many fish and which type.
Red inflamed gills can be poor water to gill flukes, check for signs of flicking and rubbing on ojects, any laboured breathing.

all water stats are good and in the range they are supposed to be in. my tank is 5 gallons, ihave 7 fish, all of which i have had for quite some time now. 3 pristella tetras, 3 neons, and 1 cory cat.
the fish in concern has no laboured breathing, and does not rub against any objects, atleast not that i can see. i do have an aquarium rock in there, and it does feel like a fine grit sand paper, should i take that out and see if it improves?

Overstocked for a 5gal all that tank size is good for is a betta, are you sure your stats are fine.
Tetras are shoaling fish and need tanks of no less than 10gal for the small tetra's, plus you should not keep them in no less than 6 group.
Same with corys no less than 3.
Can we take a look at your stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
