This will be my first time using seachem prime. I have heard that you need very very little. I have a 95l tank. I am used to adding dechlorinator to the bucket of water rather than adding to the tank. Its a 10l bucket I have.
How much prime should I add to a 10l bucket of water??

When waterchanging my old 110L tank, I used a 12L bucket...with my prime I would pierce a hole in the top with a sharp knife then add 4/5 drops per bucket of fresh water.
Hope this helps.

Terry.

It should say on the bottle how much to add. I use a capful for my 55 gallon. I add it directly to the tank as I'm doing a WC, But I also don't use buckets for my water. I have a adapter that hooks onto my vacuum on one end and to the tap on the other.

Its states 1 capful for 200l of water.

If a couple of drops of prime is enough then that's what I should do. I will wait for other members to comment on the dose.

I would get a syringe. According to Seachem's website, 1 capful = 5ml. So the dose rate is 5ml in 200litres. Or 0.25ml in 10 litres. A 1ml syringe would measure that amount quite accurately. In the UK, you can buy babies medicine dosing syringes from the chemist. Always ask for the 'babies medicine' bit or you'll get strange looks if you ask for just a syringe like I did.

I used to use API tap water conditioner and it's more concentrated than Prime. It recommends 5ml(1 capful) for 300 litre.
The API instructions also say to add 1 drop per every US gallon(3.8L).

Since I am using Prime now and it recommends 5ml for 200L, I figured compared to the API's low volume of water recommendations, from the Prime I'll need 2drops per every US gallon(or one and a half if you can measure them

So for your bucket of 10 litres, you may need 5-6 drops as a single dose on the high side or to be exact it would need about 4 drops, similar to what The Taffy Apple recommends

Edit: I have syringes too, but it's hard drawing out liquid when the bottle is half empty and I used to spill Prime each time I poured some out to use the syringe. So whatever works for everyone.

I use 10L buckets of water and Prime.  The recommended dose is 0.25ml for 10L.
I have lots of chloramines in my water supply so I double this dose and use about 0.7ml per bucket to be safe.
I use a 1ml syringe which you can get from a pharmacy, commonly used for administering medicine to babies.  As essjay said :)

I managed to get a 1ml syringe from my wife's work. Looks like I will get an accurate dose. Thanks for all your advice :)
