Prettiest Bettas Ever At Petsmart!

Sigh.. I wish.. but I do actually want to take the 10gallon down once we're done with it. Since I'm gonna have my hands full taking care of a 125 now... 1 less tank is fine by me.... even if I miss out on the purdy bettas *sniffles*
Hopefully they keep getting in those colors though! *crosses fingers.. and toes*
I would get a betta for the other 10gal tank, but I'm serious when I say that I am positive.. 99.99% sure that a betta and this killifish would not get along.
We used to have this killifish in our 29gal but had to move it b/c it was harassing our poor bolivian ram (RIP). So much so that the ram was hiding inside of this fake root decor that's in the tank and would NOT come out.
When I put it in to the 10gal, it was alone for a while. But when we started to get a bit overrun w/ platy fry.. I put a few of the larger ones in w/ him. Blue and orange.
He didn't bother the blue ones but harassed the orange ones until 1 finally died. I took the other out before it got too stressed and died as well.
So yeah, definitely not going to happen. Too risky w/ such unpredictable fish (both of them).

We got the clowns at Petsmart (hence why we were there). First trip we got 3. We got them to eventually put in to the 125 when it's done cycling (which will hopefully be soon)....
They looked fine at the store, brought them home and floated them in the 29gal, and I saw that they have Ich.
So they were put in to the spare 10gal tank (that was only filled half full :p lol) to be treated.
We decided since I wanted to get 6 total clown loaches... to go ahead and get the remaining 3 (reason for the 2nd trip to Petsmart)... to start their treatment as well.. and to hopefully reduce the stress of them all since their numbers would be larger.

Anywho..... as I said, hopefully they'll continue to keep getting in those colors... at least long enough for me to snag one! heh

:p peacock eels might get hungry and eat most of your fish.....

a black ghost knife is shy and shouldnt go with barbs or danios. i had 2 before and they seem to do better in pairs if you do get one. they are soo cute!! they remind me of cows!!

forgot to add, black ghost knifes might eat some stuff too when they get bigger.

yeaa, the black ghost knife can be fed feeder fish when they are grown and might find your tigers to be a nice snack. though i disagree with barbs in pairs, from what i have seen, they do best in larger groups 6 being a good minimum XD having a pair ive had them harrass other fish. my rainbow fish ate all the fish that it could fit in its mouth, and he got to be about, 6 inches? he chased alot of fish. thats some food for thought, especially about the knife, i know they like live food and tigers dont get big enough to be labeled as "not food" to them.

i said black ghost knife in pairs! it makes them less shy, they also (well mine) play together
i dont have mine anymore tho...got too big.....

I've read in too many faqs about them that they will squabble with other BGKs and a few other fish, so we'll only be getting one.
As for the BGK eating the tiger barbs... well.. hope not! Read that if you let them grow w/ smaller fish then they MAY not snack on them, but *shrugs* we'll see I guess.
Also peacock eels stay smaller than fire and tiretrack so those shouldn't be a problem with any of the fish I listed.

As far as feeding feeder fish... Only time they'll be eating anything living is if they catch fry b/c I will NOT be feeding them live food. They'll be getting frozen worms, beefheart, whatever else.

SIGH...... still thinking about those bettas... dern.
Why won't the 125 finish cycling already! *sob* lol
