yes it is, i would reccomend getting a fire extinghuisher as it is cheaper:

solenoid can be connected to a timer to allow you to shut the CO2 gas off at night when plants dont use it, it saves CO2 & money - some people inject it 24/7 though with now problems.

Solenoid valves are even more useful than just saving CO2/stopping overdose at night. They also turn your CO2 off in the even of a power cut, where you would have no lighting or anything, which could be a problem if asleep or out.

Ok im new to CO2 and im getting very tempted i have a space beside my tank that is out of the way that means the tank won't get knocked and a strap for good mesure. I too would want a solinoid. Can a shopping list be prepared with any options that might be available
