im thinking about adding co2 and e.i to my 125 gallon tank.

id like a good system which is also as cheap as possible, and where is the best online place to get it...(uk)

cheers

Dave's suggestion is good, the German kits are excellent quality and bargain price compared to UK dealers. If you do get one, first locate a place that will refill unmarked cylinders, most LFS only take JBL cylinders. If you can't find one, the cheapest option is either a pub cylinder (if you're friendly with your local landlord) or you can get cheap 5kg cylinders here, which would last at least a year. Or I guess buy a fire extinguisher if you have a local fire extinguisher place have can do refills.

I have just bought a system of these people. I haven`t used it yet, but it looks pretty good:

Try these as well:

There are probably more about on eBay, but I have lost interest in hunting around because I now have what I need. There are quite often systems for sale on the sell and buy section of this forum.

Thanks guys, that is good advice and links from you both :good: im thinking the 5kg fire extinguisher and then get the german equipment. would it be easy to connect the co2 line to the extinguisher?

so ive got my co2 cyclinder, valve/bubble controller thing, co2 line and a diffuser/ladder do I need anything else?

cheers

They are supposed to be pretty easy to connect up. You can get 5kg cylinders cheap form this seller on ebay if you are thinking about using one.

Here is a link to how I set up the pressure regulator from Aquamas:

Dave.

nice thread you got there Dave-your tank is shaping up nicely. I am just about set on buying the same kit as you have, which I believe is the set for £133.
One question: are the valves on 5kg cylinders the same as on hobby co2 bottles? Im guessing they are.- This would mean easy replacement in case I can't get the hobby co2 refilled.

The fitting is the standard 3/4" which fits extinguishers, pub bottles, welding bottles and most current aquatic refillable CO2 systems (I can definitely confirm it fits the JBL).
