I have read about the equipments needed to make a pressured co2 kit. However during my reading, i realized different sizes and fitting for the co2 regulator and the tanks.

I saw that they are co2 regulator with fittings of 1/4 some 3/8 some male some female outlets. Also, is there any difference with co2 cylinder from US/CAN and the ones in Europe? Can someone explain those terms? or point me to an article with their respective explanation. Also about co2 tubing, will normal tubing used with the air pump work with co2 pressured kit?

Key terms --> male/female outlets, inlets 1/4" 3/8"

Thanks

If you buy a new fire extinguisher and a regulator from the same country then they should fit.

If you buy an old fire extinguisher then you may have the male/female problem.

In general most things from europe will fit most things from europe as we have all changed to metirc measurements (although we brits will still use the imperial equivalent if there is one. lol)

The americans still use the imperial measurements which means some screw threads etc have not been converted to a metric measurement and therefore are different to european.

So there you have it. If you are the other side of the pond<----he,he...then buy all american. If you are this side then buy all european.
