OK so my friend's molly just had babies and they are deformed and stuff like they are all laying sideways and breathing deeply And there's one yellow ball in there? Are they premees? Or just deformed and what can she do to help them?

They are premature and will probably die. Female livebearers usually have an early birth if they are stressed out. It's preferable not to move heavily pregnant females but rather just leave them be and scoop the babies out when they are born.

did u put her in a breeding trap?

If so it was to early, i prefer to leave them in the tank sna fish out any babies.

Must be inbreeding, definitely, definitely inbreeding.

I can't believe that I didn't think of it before. Inbreeding.

LOL :hyper:

No when my friend noticed she was giving birth she put her in the box. And then she put the fry in the box.

If they are premees i would just let nature run its course. I think some of my platy fry are premees. There is some that are big and some that are small/tiny tiny. I managed to put my mum in a planted tank but the water change brought on the labour so i think some were earlly. The mum died unfortunantly but the strongest survive. And watching them grow up will be rewarding  Im just lucky i managed to move her before she got sicker.

Good I just found out seven of them are surviving and swimming strong only two are still laying on the ground breathing strange.
