Prego Platy

I'm real sure my platy is pregnant and was going to post pics of her but i can't find my damn cord Anyhow, she has been showing for at least a week or two at most. She's in a 10 gal with the fish listed in my signature, the only other tank I have is listed below that could be a temp home for her when she pops, but just wanted some ideas on what to do. I have tons of plants and hiding places and stuff in my big tank so im kinda thinking of letting nature take it's course since i'm just a beginner and not sure if I'm ready to have a bunch of babies to take care of. If I do find the cord, I'll post her pics.

Lots of regular small water changes with dechlorinator and a varied diet of veg and high protein fish foods will encourage her to give birth- is the other platy in the tank male or female?

Hi Thank you! Yes, he is male. Actually this morning it was pointed out to me that my prego is in my chinese algae eater's cave...seems she kicked him out and is now inside the cave and will not show herself or come out. Thanks again for the tips and hopefully I'll get my cord and post some pics

Well either i was wrong about her bursting this morning, or she gave birth in the cave and they are still hiding or got eaten cuz she looks a little smaller then she did late last night. I'll have to post pics once i do.
