pregnant swordtail??

i got 6 swordtails bout 2 weeks ago, my tank is well established and theyre all doin fine, but one isnt eating and is hiding from all the other fish in a corner right near the gravel. she doesnt look ill or anything, i dunno wether shes pregnant, she is quite fat, but maybe shes just big? i dont have much experiance with livebearers an def not pregnant ones, so i wouldnt kno how to tell, help anyone?

Hi there.. I'm a newbie too.. so take what I say with a pinch of salt , but that sounds a bit like shes being bulied by one of the other fish.. I have had my tank for a few months now, and the only fish that ever hid was a male guppy who was being beaten up by my 2 females.. he never came to the surface to eat either cos he was too scared. When I seperated the females he came out and ate and looked relaxed again...

shes pretty big tho, the only fish in there bigger than her is 1 angel 1 gourami (whos huge) and a pleco (whos masssive) theyre all pretty quiet... i have 4 swordtail females and 2 males, so i dont think its the males stressin her out... maybes she just a loner

is her belly round? is there a spot near her anal fins?
if yes to these she prob is preggers

her belly is kinda pointy and big, but maybe shes just fat... only shes not eating, so i doubt it... shes got a black tail and black spots up her body so its kinda hard to tell if she got onea them dark patch things by her tail

if her coloring doesn't allow you to tell if she has a gravid spot check if she looks larger than when you got her. If she looks like she is squaring off when you look at her from the front she maybe getting to where she is really pregnant (and close to delivering) Her not eating leads me to beleive she is due soon from what i have read and seen in my own tank

Swordtails can also be hard to tell if they are preganent. My friends swordtails never really have a gravid spot but they do get fatter and later on give birth. As Scorp1on said, I also believe that your swordtail is preganent.
