Pregnant platy

How long should a platy stay pregnant? Because one of my platies gave birth to a single fry about two months ago, and she has not had one since . Could she have aborted her pregnancy?

She may have given birth to more and they have been eaten by her or other fish...

if fertilized by a male platies give birth every 28 days or so.

It sounds like The other fish had some high amounts of Protine (They were probally eaten!)
