Pregnant Platy?

I think that my platy might be pregnant I got her from the fish shop and she was with male but she isn't anymore, her belly is twice the size of my other females and it seems to be getting bigger! Is she pregnant?

More than likely yes, if you can post up a pic of her that would be good

If the platy has been in contact with a male at the pet store there is a more than likely chance she is pregnant

Without pictures, the only way i can tell you is that she is most likely pregnant, she will eat her children unless separated. Ways you can tell if she is pregnant on your own is if she is gravid. Which should be a dark black filling right after her stomach (working you way from front to back). You may see little specks in her gravid spot which are the fry's eyes! This is how i like to see how close she is to dropping her brood!
