My 2 pregnant platys still look very pregnant and are behaving and feeding normally but last night I spotted 3 babies (Yay!!) but I have no idea who they belong to! Should I expect more or will that be it? I kind of expected her to get her figure back after birth but they're both still big as ever!
Is it possible for them to start then stop then start again? Three seems very few, especially as no one seems interested in eating them.
Any ideas anyone?

You might get some more soon, though some fish only give birth to just the one baby!
If they are both platys, then it might be a while till you see who they belong to.

Thanks CN123, I'll just have to keep my eyes peeled then :)

IME some times the female look huge and like they haven't dropped right after a drop and I think it just takes time for their bodies to recover and shrink, some of my females will drop a few and then nothing and then hours later more fry, some females only have a few fry at a time and you never know how many are hiding or how many got eaten

Thanks mamahuberty. I found another two today so now we have five! I think I know who the mum is as she is starting to look thinner now. The babies do hide really well, I have to wait for ages to see them, and now I have a cricked neck from doing so! It's worth it though

Yep my platy is birthing right now yay :). Wonder how many shell have I expect they'll be there in the morning

Ooh exciting! I ended up with seven, I think. How big are they when they're born? Mine are about 1cm long but I don't know how long they'd been hiding before I saw them :)

Getting a bit worried, my second pregnant platy was sitting on the bottom of the tank in amongst the plants last night and I thought there would be babies today but she's still sitting on the bottom. She came up to feed last night but not this morning. Do you think she's ok?
