Pregnant Platy

Hi,

We got our 1st aquarium last month and never expected to have a pregnant fish so soon but our female platy is definitely pregnant. I had noticed her getting bigger and bigger in the last 2 to 3 weeks. We've just come back from a 4 day trip over Christmas and she seems to have ballooned in that time.

How long are platys pregnant for? What should I be doing? (I've been pretty much been in denial, calling her our fat fish up to now!)

feed her a good diet,plats are pregnant for 4-5ish weeks,when she is near a drop she will start to hide and not nessisarly come up for food,when she drops the fry it happens in a few hours all fish will eat the fry if you don't save them.
