Pregnant Platy

One of my platy is pregnant as i can see it has became bigger out in the belly and has got a white circle near its anal fin.I have had it for a year and has had 4 successful batch's of fry's.It has been pregnant for 3-4 weeks and still no sign of the fry's.Please can you give advice what i can do to persuade it to drop

Well From my experience good water quality is a must I know my platty's are pregnant for around 6 weeks so you may have a little while to wait yet but turning the temp up slightly in your tank can also help them along a lil bit . also try keeping the lights to a bare minimum i know that 9/10 my livebearers will drop during the night. Also watch for them hanging around plantsor near the surface or just generally hiding . once you've spotted them doing this they will surely drop within the week

It's also a good idea to read the thread thats 5teady wrote in the livebearer section theres LOADS of usefull info on there for you to read
