Pregnant Platy

I have a pregnant platy and her stomach is just huge.
The situation here is that she's been hiding in the corner of the tank behind the plants, keeping away from all the other fish in the tank.
Is this a sign of giving birth in any way?

Yes. She should be getting pretty close to giving birth. I'd say you would have babies in a week, max.

I woke up and I checked my tank and I saw one of my male platties chasing this small thing that moves around pretty fast. I was thinking, how the heck could poop move that fast, I looked closer and it was a platy fry!
I caught that and put it in my net breeder. I removed all the ornaments and I saw a whole lot of fry, turns out there's only ten. There could've been more because they were probably born during the night and probably got eatan by the males. Right now, there's a total of ten fry in my net.
Just thought of updating and letting you people know.

Yes, it sounds like the males ate some. Or she could have had a small batch. I'm betting on the other fish though, since it seems like a male was chasing a baby. That's okay...while it sounds cruel, it's fry control!
