Pregnant Platy-what Do I Do?

i have a pregnant platy. she is currently in a breeder basket and seems a little stressed. i have been reading other users posts and i am thinking now that i should put some plants and marbles in a corner and release the female and see what happens. i do have a gourami and a betta in the tank along with the parent platys and some tetras. is that the best thing to do??? help!!!

I think that's a idea. A completely separate breeding tank might be the best idea, but that's a good idea. With those fish in the tank, some of the fry are bound to be eaten. Marbles are great for fry to hide between. The more places you can hide, the more chances fry have to survive. If this is your first batch of fry, I understand your concern, but if you have male and female livebearers, you will have plent more opportunity.
