Pregnant Platy Question

my platys have been pregnant for about 1 and a half months and they still dont seem to be close to having fry, i can see the eggs in their tummys but are they gonna have them soon?

it might be heavy pregnant so it could have loads. normally when the fish is heavy pregnant it will take a long time. it might help if u could get a pic

It's normally a month for pregnancy. 1.5 months is VERY long. Are we positive the fish is pregnant? Gravid spots are visible in all females, not just the pregnant ones. It may also be a possibility that she gave birth already and the fry were all eaten.

thats what i was thinking but they are both soooo huge and they keep getting bigger

Surely you've seen a pregnant woman before and thought, "Holy crap, she's going to explode!" Fish are the same way.

haha yeah but they arent even showing signs. oh yeah and another thing... she looks kindof like they have stretch marks on their back..their sunset platys and they were bright orange but now it looks like there is stretches of white.
