Pregnant Platies

My sister has a rainbow platy[which is now pregnant] with a sunset glowlight platy and has not given birth.

Is there anything wrong that we are doing?

Platies, and most livebearers a very selective about water quality when it comes to dropping young: if she doesnt feel safe she wont drop them, if she feels the water is not good enough she will hold them. Depending on how long the fish has been pregnant you can usually make them drop by doin a water change and leaving the lighting off.

Its nothing you can help ,its just the way the female is.

Is the other Platy male? If so, it could be stress. What other fish do you have and what size tank?
