Pregnant Or Not

I have got some guppies in a mothering tank with big black gravid spots.
But they seem to be holding up giving birth, How long does it normally take for them to drop.
I have had young off my other fish within a day of putting in mothering tank.

At higher temperatures, you're looking at about four weeks. Six weeks is still within the norm too, on the longer side. How large is the female? That's the best way to tell if a fish is carrying fry.

She is ready to give birth soon, probalby within the week if she looks that large. I'd feed a bit of peas to her just to make sure she isn't constipated and swelled up because of that. I would not move the fish if they're so far along in the pregnancy.
