Pregnant? Or Fat

i came home today and i found my platy blown up! she is huge! her stomach is squared off and she is breathing fast. not pinecones scales. she is in the breeder now.

square stomach sounds like babys. but they dont inflate instantly. it happens over a period of 2 months any pics

The gestation period for a Platy is roughly 4 weeks...

Well she has been periodically getting slighlty larger, and today she was huge. she has a little white dot by her anal fin, which i know is a sign of pregnancy.
no idon't have any pics at the moment (i have to charge my camera) i should have some later.

yes. i have one male. that was another thing i was going to ask. my male only follows my other female around everywhere, but i have never seen him follow this one.

My Platty took about 7 weeks before she had her fry. She got progressivly bigger and then you could actually see the black dots of their eyes in her lover abdomen. The white dot on her anus was a sign, as the night before this looked quite big, she had them the next day.

my fish is white/see through around her anal fin so would I even be able to see the white dot on her?
