I believe my neon tetra is pregnant her stomach is alittle big and it doesn't show any visible signs of sickness or of even getting sick its actually lively goes where ever the other neons go its pretty entertaining actually eats normal and everything. I tried getting a picture but it always runs so its impossible...can someone tell me the signs or if I could be right or wrong

Ahh that's right egg bound well then that could be it and as for the picture I try my hardest but everytime I even get close she swims away I even tippy toe but then she sees my camera and swims away

the females are generally naturally rounder bellied than the males anyway.

Yeah I know that but this one in particular is alittle more plump then when I first got it again no signs of sickness and everything in my tank is stable but I will try to get a picture

I wouldn't worry unless it actually is showing signs of illness.

Well I'm not really worried actually alittle more excited as this is probably ( if she is pregnant or egg bound )my first keeping of any kind of fry

Even if she laid eggs and they were fertilized, you would have to remove them instantly, or have them breed in a separate tank - the eggs would just get eaten.

Google egg bound neons and see if you can find a pic the same as yours. And Google breeding neons while you're at it and read how tricky it is!

Okay so I went on google and my neon is definitely egg bound and I also read breeding neons and soybean I have my work cut out for me
