I have a bit of a problem, I have a heavily pregnant molly, she has a white tube (it's contracting for the last 2 hrs) And she's really squared off, the last hour or so she's just been kinda slow, not moving alot or eating.. Does that mean she's going to have her babies? I put her in a breeding trap about 2-3 hrs ago, cuz that's when I noticed she was more secluded in the tank (always near the heater) How long can I leave her in the breeding trap? I would post this in the livebearers section but I don't think anyone would really help and this is kinda an emergency.. (to me anyways) Sorry though, I'm just at a loss of what to do.... I read the pinned post "How to know when your livebearer is ready to drop her fry", mine has all the signs but hasn't giving birth yet, I put her in the net about 2-3 hrs ago and still nothing! How long does it usually take?

Once they start to show the white tube it should be within the next 12 hours. It's the right time to trap her. Turn off the tank lights to give her some peace. You can leave her in the trap for 24 hours once she's so obviously ready.
