my female dalmation molly has a few orange spots on her too...Ill let you know if hers turn into anything more!!

No, the "pregnancy spots" are acutally refferd to as " gravid area". Second of all, the gravid area is the babies eyes shinning off the lights so in most mollies it is impossible to see. If the spots are orange there is no way she is pregnant unless every babies eye is orange.

My fish change color when pregnant, which appears to be a function of stretching of the belly region. Why you would get orange doesn't make sense to me. Do you have a picture? I wouldn't know what it is off the top of my head, but if you could provide a picture, maybe someone can take a look and see. I just wouldn't want it to be any kind of sign of illness. I don't want to frighten you. It doesn't sound like anything I've read about or seen myself, but if it's a new thing, show us a picture and maybe we can figure it out.

All fish change color as time goes on. Usually when stressed or frightend. All cichlids chage colors all the time so I wouldnt worry about it.

Fish do change color, but most fish lose color when stressed or sick. The fact that SmokinBenny called it a patch makes it sound like there is growth there, not just a color change. Any pictures?
