Pregnant Molly!

hey guys guess what?!!?!?!

i just got 3 mollies....2f and 1m and 1 of ems pregnant!!!!!!! [atleast..i think she is] im soo excited and i cant wait til the fry come...well n e wai my question is this

i just got the mollies like 1/2 hour ago and i think i made a mistkae by getting a pregnant one anyway...i put them into the tank and as soon as i put em in with my 5 other tetras she started to chase the other mollies around and it lookd lyk she was tryna eat their tails hehe anyway..i donno if it's normal but i have another question....here are sum pics of the, what seems to be,"PREGNANT" molly

you prob cant c it these pics...[maybeee the 1st one] but inside the stomach there a little black dots all over!
does that mean it's pregnant? and if so when will the babies come?

and also...sry for asking sooo mny questions by the mollies are pooping ALOT everytime i look at em theres a trail of poop draggin behind em SPEACIALLY the one in the photos that i think might be preggo

They're both most likely pregnant if they were in with males. One may just be further along.

I'm confused as to who was chasing who?

I'm not sure what you mean by little black dots all over. It may be markings if it's all over. You might be able to see her gravid spot, which is on her stomach where the body meets the tail. Do you mean you see little dots in there?

All the pooing is pretty common for Livebearers. What have you been feeding?

the one thats in the picture is chasing the other 2 mollies [the fish thats in both the pictures is the same one! not 2 diff ones] n e wai..if that one [in the pic] is preg when do u think itll drop? coz i rlyy wanna b there 2 c it?

That's common for pregnant fish, just make sure the aggression isn't too bad and keep an eye on it.

It's hard to say when she will drop...sometime in the next couple weeks, or so? Each fish is different, and looks different, so it's impossible for me to predict when, really. Balloons are especially hard, because you don't know how much is pregnancy, and how much is their Balloon belly.

well now im pretty convinced that my molly is pregnant! but theres just a little problem..it keeps swimming rightttttttttttttt at the veryyyyy top of the tank and it hides behind the filter most of the time and if i put my finger near the tank it SWIMSSSSSSSSSS away reallyyyyyyyyyyyy fast

anyway i was just wondering if it was normal for the fish to hide behind the filter all the time

She's probably scared. What other fish do you have, and how decorated is your tank, i.e. how many hiding places? Is she gasping at the top, or just hanging out there?

She's probably jumpy and territorial because she's pregnant...
