I've got a pregnant mollie and it's pretty big at the mo (sorry cameras broke so no pictures).

Was just wondering when i should isolate it. I don't want to put her in there and then she doesnt drop for a while. She's been pregnant about roughly 3 1/2 - 4 weeks.

Cheers.

Four weeks is about when the fish normally give birth. I recommend against breeder nets and traps as they are normally built too small and stress fish out. I've seen fish abort their fry to what I can only imagine is a result of the stress from the confined space. My recommendation is normally to let the fish birth in the main tank and provide hiding places for the fry to survive. They will hide among plants on the bottom or floating on the top. String is a good replacement for floating plants. I wouldn't leave it in forever, but it can stay for quite a while. Marbles make good hiding places on the bottom when stacked together, because they leave a lot of gaps that larger fish can't get into with their hungry mouths.
