Its not a very good picture, lost my digi cam and had to use a mob phone. I think this molly is the one that had 3 babies about 2 weeks ago, one baby was dead and the other 2 seemed to vanish.... shes gone fat looking again and im wondering if theres more babies on the way.. can you tell from the photo? The one at the front i think is pregnant and there is another dalmation mollie behind it.

She looks pregnant to me.

when do you think she will give birth? and what should i do? I put her in a breeding net earlier today and she seemed to freak out, so i put her back in the communal tank..... I would like to ensure at least some of the babies survive, but the last time i had only had her less than 24 hrs when she had babies 2 alive which disappeared (prolly was breakfast for the other community members) and one which was dead.

Breeding nets are no good they just stress the fish out even causing them to abort, if there is plenty of plants and hiding spaces some should survive.
Dosn't look far off from having them, she will hide and be moody even chasing other fish.

reckon theres enough hiding places? theres 7 plants and a rocky structure with cracks, crevaces and hiding holes..... ive got a couple of artifical tank plants, should i put them in aswell to be on the safe side?

more than likely most of the time they are pregnant when you buy them, i got 4 females once & 1 of them had babies 4 times & i didn't have any males in the tank so i think you could expect a few lots of babies lol
as they can store sperm for 7 lots of babies from one mating session :X  :S
( thank god i'm not a molly lol )

shes absolutely enormous now.... seems to have doubled in size, shes about 3 cm from the top of her back to the bottom of her belly, and about 1.5cm wide across her belly. Her belly is double the width of her head, but still no babies, it will be 4 weeks this monday since she last gave birth (but the babies only 3 of which i saw) dont seem to have survived, never seen them since. Will keep you posted.

I tried to take a picture with my digi cam but its new and i cant suss it.
