the community in my sig are all the fishes. 3 of them are pygmy corys. there are 2 males to 1 female and the female, which is just a bit bigger, is very very fat. shes been this way for a week or so and its just getting fuller and fuller. will her eggs survive?? i dont have anything to put them in so i guess theyll just have to get lucky. where and how do they lay their eggs??

Cories lay their eggs on flat surfaces, often the window. As for your community, I highly doubt the eggs will survive. They're a beloved snack for a lot of fish, and my danios and plec would often follow the egg laying female picking off the eggs as soon as they were laid. I'm certain your gouramis will absolutely love the eggs as well, so don't count on any of them surviving. Sorry.

If you do want some of your eggs to survive you should really get another little tank and siphon the eggs into that tank after they're laid (and hardened up a little if they get the chance). You can also use this little tank to grow out the fry as for the first few weeks they too would be a snack for the bigger fish.
