Pregnant Guppy

Hi,

Moving away from the Platys then, can some one tell me how big this Gravid spot gets before they are due to give birth to the fry?

With my guppies, the gravid didn't grow very much in size, but it got darker and darker.

With my females, the gravid spot almost takes up half of her belly and the spot is at its darkest, almost black. Here's my female 2 hrs before she gave birth( i think I've shown this pic like 4x by now, lol):
