I have 1 female guppy.

I've had her about 1 week.
I've done some reading, and when a fish is pregnant, she gets a 'gravid spot'.
When I looked at pictures, and saw my fish... she had one too...
But this morning... it's gone a lot lighter... I thought it was supposed to get darker.
She looks a little plump too.

Why's it gone lighter overnight...?
Can anyone post a pic comparing a non-pregnant guppy to a pregnant one, too please

Your best to wait for some one with more knowledge than me but generally all females guppies you buy will be pregnant the only way they wont is if they were separated from the males straight from birth

As for the gravid spot getting lighter my guppies will do that when i fist turn the light on- as far as i can tell it happens to all my females and i know that they're pregnant, but like I said it would still be better to check this against someone who is more knowledgable

Female guppys keep sperm reserves inside themselves. So even without a male they can get pregnant or have fish from various diferent fathers in one birth. And the can get pregnant again as soon has they give birth. Its a fish that's always pregnant. If you saw the gravid spot its pregnant.
If the spot is really gone now and was there before check around the tank for some fry. You would not be the first to have some unexpecte guppy birth's on the tank. I've had it in the bag on the way from the shop to my house.
Apart from that don't worry if the fish is fine everything is ok.
