Pregnant Guppies ?

hi can anyone tell me if my new guppies are pregnant ?
i only have these 2 fish in my tank and have had them a week
sorry bout the pics being blurry

The second one looks more further along than the first.

Have they been in contact with a male in the last 6 months? If yes, then they're almost certainly pregnant.

i bought them from a pet shop about a week ago

do i need to separate them ?

The chances are that they have been in contact with males, and are therefore pregnant. THey will keep having babies every 4 weeks or so until about 6 months since their last encounter with a male.

Guppies, along with all common livebearers have shed-loads of fry, but have absolutely no parenting skills whatsoever - so they'll just turn around and eat the fry. Unless you have decent plant cover in your tank, you will find that very few, if any, survive to adulthood.

I don't see any need to separate them.
 
thanks for your help i thought they was but wasnt totally sure.
i think i will have to keep a close eye on them and see what happens
