Pregnant Dalmation Molly

Hi there, just wondering if anyone can help me.... i have a pregnant dalmation molly who i believe cant get any fatter this is the second pregnancy since ive had her and the last time she gave birth to about 8 babies around 2 months ago,
now she is so swollen her scales are sticking out, she is eating and swimming about but shows no signs of delivering.. she is in a tank with some guppy babies ( 1 month old) and ive regularly changed the water although dont know about nitrates etc...( newbie) ive increased the temp, is ther eanything else i can do to encourage her to deliver

sounds like dropsy unfortunately usually very hard to treat

Not dropsy i dont think, i recently had this problem with a balloon molly, she was well overdue and her scales was sticking out a bit, she refused to drop her fry and held on to them way to long... when she finally did drop them, most were dead unfortunalty but her stomach and scales returned to normal within 24 hours.

Yeah i reckon mr 5steady is the more likely scenario. They can hold them up to 42 day ish after the last drop so be patient-This month mine was a week late-she got big(not as big as yours) but persevere and maybe it'll turn out alright

Have a look at this, this 3 of my mollies who was way overdue and this is how bad they got, but now they are all still fine, although one did hold on to the fry to long and most was dead when she dropped.

My mollies always birth at night-sneaky little buggers they are. One day they'll do it in the day, the endlers do but thats cool as they arent being eaten by the parents. Cool vid s5teady.

Yeah i know what you mean about endlers lol, mine breed like mad as well...

THANKS BUT I THINK ITS NOT LOOKING GOOD NOW SHE IS JUST SITTING ON THE BOTTOM, BUT SHE IS ALL ROUND NOT LIKE THE MOLLIES IN YOU VID.. WILL WAIT AND SEE!!

See what you mean bout the mating-same colours as mine. Lots of hideaways in your tank,like that ,looks good.
