Hello!

I'm new to the forum and to keeping a tropical tank so have been desperately searching the forum for some info.

Waking up this morning i found that my dalmation molly had had 4 fry, but no sign of any more. She's staying in one place most of the time, is putting her rear into the bubble stream and kind of thrashing around, and i was wondering whether she was due to have any more? I don't think that she has eaten them - they're hiding very well in the plants and any that swim by her she just ignores, it really does seem like she has only had 4.

She's still looking pregnant - is this normal? At the moment she's swimming around normally sucking up sand, and doing poos very frequently. Any ideas?

Do you have gravel i noticed quite alot of my fry took to hiding deep in the gravel they can get between it and get really low down in it and hide there, but there is a possibilty she could of eaten the majority of them or just given birth to a couple if its there first drop they dont have many.

Best advice is keep your eyes peeled they could be more hiding

Well come to fishforums.

Yeah this is normal u must keep it some days until it turned thin. This means that it will get more babies.
