I believe that I had a Electric Yellow Cichlid carrying around eggs! It has been about 8 days now and was wondering what if anything I could or should do?
I have 5 in total, in a 30 gal. It has plenty of cover and this is the first time.....Congradulations to me!

You have a few options.

1) Leave her in the community tank and some fry will live by hiding in the rocks until they are big enough to venture out.

2) Strip the fry from her into a small rearing tank with the same water as the community tank.

3) Take her out and place her in the rearing tank with the fry.

Just remember with option 2 and 3 just keep an ey eof the female whle trying to catch her, because she may spit some fry out in the process.

I do have an extra 10 gal., and what do you mean by striping?

Striping is catching the female and basically getting the fry out yourself, having her spit them into the rearing tank. There are a few methods, but I have only done it once before, I caught her and then basically rubbed her throat with my finger and she spit the fry out.
