Hi I'm new here :)
I have a balloon molly and a guppy that I think is pregnant but I'm not really sure
I also noticed that the balloon molly really likes to stay in the corner by the heater

Here's a pic of the Balloon Molly (Shes in her own tank right now)

Thanks for the help! :)

Hi!

Welcome :)

Your molly is definantly preg and id say it wont be long till see gives birth :)

Did you want to raise the babies or will you just let nature run its course? My first fish was a balloon molly and she gave birth the day after we brought her home from the fish store.

The guppy im not to sure about. I could never tell with them :p

GOOD LUCK!

Thanks! :)
I'm planning to raise the babies =)
After the female finishes giving birth I'm going to move her back to the main tank
The first week I got my two female balloon mollies I found two fry in the tank =D
Also..do pregnant fish become aggressive? Because when I first got the two female balloons they were nice to eachother..then a week later they were fighting eachother and the pregnant one was using its tail to slap the other balloon molly O0O

The balloon mollie is definitly far on, with her been in her own tank is better as the fry stand a better chance if there is plent of cover for them in it..

The guppy however is not far on at all, 1-2 weeks at most.

hi, ballon mollies sometimes tend to hold onto their fry. they do not let them go without a 'fight' so sometimes the come out as dead. but this is not everytime! (just to let you know)

Yes this is correct, thier a pain in the ass for doing it.

i agree with the other on the molly, pretty girl she is too, just beware i had a balloon molly a while back now she had 102 fry from one drop  and the guppy, with her being pale in colour you will probably see the eyes of the fry developing over time :good:

Thanks for the help everyone! :)
I'm still waiting for the fry to come out...very impatiently XD this is the first time that I'll be getting fry =D

Does that mean they might not give birth without fighting with another fish?! O0O :S

no, its just mollies tend to try hold there fry in past there 'due' date so to speak.
as she is in her own tank, make sure she has peace and quite and try to keep low light, this will help her feel secure

=D
Thanks for the help :)
Well..she still hasn't given birth yet..but the new female balloon molly I got yesterday just gave birth to about 40 - 50 fry :hyper:
spent quite some time getting them into the breeding box..still a few hiding behind some decorations =D
So excited :hyper:
