Hi, I bought 2 pregnant platys at a fish shop about 10 minutes drive away from my home and when i got home i was wondering, because Ive read that pregant fish can abort their pregnancy when moved to early, I was wondering why my fish hadnt aborted their pregnancys. Is it because they are close to birth or a different reason.

It depends, most fish will not abort, is only a few that will if their highly stressed.

If they birth or abort their fish, you should have a little time before the signs are gone. Aborted fry are normally not absorbed and there are the body of the fry left on the substrate. If your fish are still large in size, they most likely have not given birth or aborted fry at this time.
