I have a bunch of platies (1m and 4f).
3 of the girls are visibly pregnant and I need some advice on which will drop first.
Unfortunately I cannot get pics on, no camera.
2 are fully grown mickey mouse platies on blueish grey backgrounds.
When I got them 3 weeks ago they had the dark gravid spot but were not very round.
Both are quite large and seem to hide their roundness if that makes sense.
The larger fish seems more pregnant, but I can't tell, it might be her size.
The last one is a gold twinbar. She is a juvenile, but old enough to breed.
She was not pregnant looking when I got her 4 weeks ago.
She has actually grown in length since I've had her.
She does not have a dark gravid spot, but she is translucent enough to see orange eggs with eyes.
She is very round compared to the mickey mouse platies.
But this could be because she is a smaller fish to begin with, half their size.
I know it's difficult with out pictures, but could someone predict please?
One of the the large fish, less round, dark black gravid?
Or the small fish, round, no dark gravid but visible babies?
Also, is this normal for some fish to have black gravid spots and others to have none, even when all fish are mostly translucent?
